Systems and Network Administrator (applications by 2 October 2026)

The Vice-Rector for Development and Digitalisation of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of Systems and Network Administrator (Network Specialist / Systems Administrator).

Job description / Main responsibilities:

  • administration of GNU/Linux servers
  • configuration management using Ansible
  • administration of WWW, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, RADIUS, FTP and SMTP services
  • administration of SSO – knowledge of SAML2 and OIDC protocols
  • administration of virtualisation environments (VMware, Xen, Proxmox)
  • administration and installation of LAN network devices
  • administration of wireless networks
  • administration of SAN networks (FC, iSCSI)
  • administration of storage arrays

Qualification requirements:

  • secondary school education
  • ability to work independently, attention to detail and a clean criminal record
  • practical experience in the configuration and administration of GNU/Linux operating systems
  • experience in the configuration and administration of Cisco network devices (CCNA certification is an advantage)

Workload: 1.0 FTE

Salary grade: in accordance with the UJEP Internal Salary Regulations, N9

Information about the selection procedure and selection criteria:

The selection procedure will consist of a first round involving an assessment of the submitted documents, which must form part of the application, and, if applicable, a second round consisting of personal interviews with selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the outcome no later than 30 days after the end of the selection procedure. Applicants are not entitled to reimbursement of any costs incurred in connection with the selection procedure. The Vice-Rector reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure or to select no candidate.
