Technician – User Support (applications by 14 September 2026)
The Vice-Rector for Development and Digitalization of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of Technician – User Support.

Job description / responsibilities:
- handling requests from UJEP employees
- installation and commissioning of end-user devices – PCs, printers, etc.
- installation and configuration of software, including specialized programs used by the university – e-mail, antivirus solutions, network storage, etc.
- operation of AV equipment (lecture halls, LED TV amphitheatre, etc.)
- troubleshooting of end-user devices, including repairs and warranty claims
- providing consultations on hardware purchases; cooperation with faculties in preparing specifications for procurement procedures
- cooperation with other departments – networks, information systems, etc.
Qualification requirements:
- secondary education
- good communication skills
- knowledge of software and hardware
- advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
- basic knowledge of AV equipment
- knowledge of Linux and iOS is an advantage
- ability to work independently, teamwork, attention to detail and a clean criminal record
Employment rate: 1.0 FTE
Salary grade: according to the University’s internal salary regulations, N8–N9
Expected start date: by agreement

Selection procedure and selection criteria:
The selection procedure will consist of a first round involving an assessment of the submitted application materials, which must be included with the application, and, if applicable, a second round consisting of a personal interview with selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the outcome no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the selection procedure. Participants in the selection procedure are not entitled to reimbursement of any costs incurred in connection with the selection procedure. The Vice-Rector reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure or to select no candidate.
