announces a selection procedure to fill the position of
Ombudsman & Whistleblower´s ombudsman
Number of vacancies/Positions/Activities: 1, Ombudsman & Whistleblower ombudsman
Main activities and areas of activity:
- Investigation of complaints to protect rights affecting the scope of the UJEP, in particular the rights of male/female employees, rights of students, unequal treatment, discrimination, sexual harassment, unethical behaviour, academic integrity, bossing, mobbing, violations of legislation including internal regulations of the University
- Mediation, provision of assistance and counselling to parties in conflict
- Formulation of opinions and recommendations in resolving specific cases
- Guaranteeing and implementing the UJEP GEP
- Receiving notifications under Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of persons who report infringements of Union law or the Whistleblower Protection Act
- Assessing the validity of the notification and proposing remedial measures, communicating with the whistleblower
- Coordination, methodological, preventive activities in the field of rights protection, in particular analysis of identified complaints and problems, making proposals for systemic solutions, including cooperation on risk management. Innovative and conceptual tasks with the possibility to co-create and influence a safe environment in UJEP.
Our requirements:
- A personality with a high level of empathy, integrity and professional attitude
- Master’s level university degree in psychology/law/social work/pedagogy/gender studies or related field
- Good knowledge of legislation on the protection of rights
- Knowledge of English language (B2 level acc. To CEFR)
- Criminal record and moral character
- Orientation in an academic environment is welcome, as well as previous experience in mediation, crisis intervention, law, human rights, conflict resolution, counselling or human resource management, experience in compliance
Working conditions: Part-time/full-time for 3 years with possibility of extension; possibility of contractual cooperation. The amount of time and type of contractual relationship can be adjusted by mutual agreement. Wage remuneration will be determined by mutual agreement.

Information about the selection process:
The selection process will be carried out in the first round by examining the submitted materials, which must be included in the application form, and in the second round by personal interviews with the selected candidate(s). Candidates will be asked to present to the members of the selection committee their experience and the concept of ombudsman at UJEP. All applicants will be informed of the result within 10 days of the end of the selection process.
