The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of academic staff member.

1 / Academic Staff Member – Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (Global Expert)

Requirements:

  • Ph.D., Associate Professor, or Professor title in technical sciences with a focus on energy engineering.
  • Professional experience in the field of energy systems and research projects.
  • Experience with international cooperation, particularly in the field of energy.
  • Proficiency in English.

Job Description:

  • Provides expert guidance, mentoring, and consultation to research teams within international and cross-border cooperation at the EU level.
  • Actively participates in the preparation, implementation, and management of research and development (R&D) activities, including the design of methodologies, experimental strategies, and computational approaches.
  • Collaborates on publication activities – co-authors articles for peer-reviewed journals, conference papers, and professional publications.
  • Contributes to the development of long-term research concepts for newly established laboratories and research infrastructures focused on energy and hydrogen technologies.
  • Cooperates in the development of new and updated study programs.
  • Delivers invited lectures and seminars at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and contributes to the internationalization of the research environment.
  • Is responsible for the dissemination of project results within the GET Centre UJEP and actively seeks opportunities for their application.

Workload: 20–100% (within the GET Centre UJEP project)

The selection procedure may be conducted based on the assessment of submitted materials without the applicant’s personal participation, or in two rounds, where selected applicants may be invited for a personal or online interview.
The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure without stating a reason.
