The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of Academic Staff Member.

1 / Academic Staff Member – Assistant Professor in the field of Energy Engineering, Applied Mechanics, responsible for teaching courses focused on:

Energy Machines
Requirements:
- Participation in teaching in the relevant field
- Involvement in creative and research activities in the field
- Preparation and implementation of projects
- Motivation and ability to work independently and creatively
- Education or professional experience in the field
- Ph.D. degree
- Relevant publication and project activity
- Knowledge of the Czech language at C1 level (required for teaching in Czech)
Workload: 50% – 100% of full-time, depending on agreement
Expected start date: As agreed
Place of work: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Pasteurova 3334/7, 400 96 Ústí nad Labem

Information about the selection procedure and criteria:
The selection procedure will take place either in person or remotely. Applicants will briefly present their professional background and outline their vision for their potential work at the faculty. Selection will be based on the applicant’s academic degree, creative activities, and presentation of their vision.
The Faculty reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure, even without stating a reason.
