The administratively demanding process of obtaining the award began in November 2017, when UJEP committed to the principles enshrined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (hereinafter referred to as the Charter and Code).
During 2018, a GAP analysis was carried out, comparing current practice at the university with the Charter and Code. The analysis also included a questionnaire survey among R1-R4 researchers at the university. Subsequently, a draft UJEP Action Plan (hereinafter referred to as AP) was drawn up for the implementation of measures aimed at fulfilling the principles enshrined in the Charter and Code for the years 2019-2020. All documentation was sent to the European Commission evaluators in March 2019, and based on their evaluation, UJEP became the proud holder of the HR Award on June 3, 2019, thus joining the ranks of prestigious scientific institutions in Europe.
The HR Excellence in Research Award certificate increases our overall prestige and makes our university attractive to foreign scientists and researchers.
Our goal is to systematically and actively fulfill the agenda related to the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research Award. To create a healthy and pleasant working environment for all employees. It is important to mention that, in accordance with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, we follow the methodology for the selection procedure for filling academic, research and development positions, senior management positions, and other positions at UJEP. The main goal is to ensure compliance with the principles of transparency, equal treatment, and openness.
