Job Description
The position combines expert methodological work in the field of internal evaluation of research and development activities at UJEP with the role of a data analyst within the project Implementation of the Strategy for Evaluating the Quality of Creative Activities (KA02). The main responsibilities include:
Methodological Component:
- Co-developing the strategy for internal evaluation of the quality of science and research at UJEP
- Collaborating on the design of methodologies for evaluating creative activities, including the preparation of background materials for decision-making
- Organising and methodologically leading educational and training activities
- Communicating with faculty management, vice-deans for research, members of research teams, and other stakeholders involved in the evaluation process
- Participating in the pilot evaluation in 2027 and in the preparation of final evaluation reports
- Contributing to the revision of UJEP strategic documents based on evaluation results
Analytical Component:
- Preparing and processing data inputs for the evaluation of research and creative activities (especially bibliometric and project outputs)
- Cooperating with the university library in preparing data for bibliometric analyses
- Creating data reports and visualisations (e.g. at the level of faculties, scientific fields, or disciplinary groups)
- Preparing analyses for benchmarking with other institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad
- Basic administration and maintenance of datasets and cooperation in the development of evaluation tools
Requirements for Candidates:
- Completed university education at the Master’s level, ideally in social sciences, research management, informatics, statistics, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across the university
- Independence, strong planning skills, and attention to detail
- Active knowledge of English (minimum level B2)
An advantage is:
- Experience with evaluation, strategic management in science, or data analysis
- Good knowledge of the Czech system for evaluating research and development (Methodology 17+, and prospectively Methodology 25+)
- Ability to work with research-related data (e.g. RIV, Web of Science/Scopus, GAČR, TAČR, etc.)
- Knowledge of analytical tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, R, Python, Access, SQL)

Information on the Selection Procedure and Selection Criteria:
The selection procedure will be conducted in two rounds. In the first round, submitted applications and their mandatory attachments will be assessed. In the second round, selected candidates will be invited to a personal interview, during which they will be asked to present their previous experience and motivation in relation to the offered position to the members of the selection committee. All candidates will be informed of the outcome no later than 10 days after the conclusion of the selection procedure.
