User Support Technician (Applications by 13 February 2026)
The Vice-Rector for Development and Digitalization of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of User Support Technician.

Job description / Responsibilities:
- Handling requests from UJEP employees
- Installation and commissioning of end-user devices – PCs, printers, etc.
- Installation and configuration of software, including specialized programs used by the university – e-mail, antivirus solutions, network storage, etc.
- Operation of audiovisual equipment (lecture halls, LED TVs, amphitheatre, etc.)
- Troubleshooting end-user devices through repair or warranty claims
- Consultation on hardware purchases; cooperation with faculties in creating specifications for public tenders
- Cooperation with other departments – networks, information systems, etc.
Qualification requirements:
- Secondary education
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of software and hardware
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
- Basic orientation in AV technology
- Knowledge of Linux and iOS is an advantage
- Independence, ability to work in a team, diligence, and clean criminal record

Information on the selection procedure and selection criteria:
The selection procedure will take place in the first round by evaluating the submitted materials that must be included in the application, and possibly in the second round through a personal interview with selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the results no later than 30 days after the end of the selection procedure.
