The Vice-Rector for Development and Digitalization of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of Head of the Computer Networks Department.

Job description / Responsibilities:
Manages the activities of the Computer Networks Department (OPS). The department is responsible for:
- administration and development of the university-wide computer network
- administration of data centers
- administration of servers and data storage systems for information system operations
- administration of the wireless network
- administration of both optical and metallic infrastructure
- connection of the university network to the CESNET network
- ensuring functionality of basic network services (DHCP, DNS, e-mail, etc.)
Further responsibilities include:
- cooperation with other IT Center departments and university units
- planning the development and modernization of network infrastructure
Qualification requirements:
- Secondary school education
- Independence, diligence, and clean criminal record
- Experience in the IT field – development and administration of computer networks
Employment extent: Full-time (1.0)
Salary classification: According to the internal salary regulation N11

Information about the selection procedure and selection criteria:
The first round of the selection procedure will consist of an assessment of the submitted documents, which must be included with the application. A second round may consist of personal interviews with selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the result no later than 30 days after the end of the selection procedure. Participants are not entitled to reimbursement of any costs related to the selection procedure. The Vice-Rector reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure.
