User Support Technician (Applications until 10 June 2026)
The Vice-Rector for Development and Digitalization of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of User Support Technician.

Job description / Responsibilities:
- Handling support requests from UJEP employees
- Installation and setup of end-user devices – PCs, printers, etc.
- Installation and configuration of software, including specialized university applications – e-mail, antivirus solutions, network storage, etc.
- Operation of AV equipment (lecture halls, LED TV amphitheater, etc.)
- Troubleshooting end-user devices through repair or warranty claims
- Consultation during hardware purchases; cooperation with faculties in preparing technical specifications for procurement procedures
- Cooperation with other departments – networks, information systems, etc.
Qualification requirements:
- Secondary school education
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of software and hardware
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies
- Basic orientation in AV technology
- Knowledge of Linux and iOS is an advantage
- Independence, teamwork skills, diligence, and clean criminal record

According to the internal salary regulation N8–N9

Information about the selection procedure and selection criteria:
The first round of the selection procedure will consist of an assessment of the submitted documents, which must be included with the application. A second round may consist of personal interviews with selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the result no later than 30 days after the end of the selection procedure. Participants are not entitled to reimbursement of any costs related to the selection procedure. The Vice-Rector reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure.
