Head of CENAB (Applications by 30 April 2026)
The Dean of the Faculty of Science of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces an internal selection procedure for the position of Head of the Center of Nanomaterials and Biotechnology (CENAB).
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Management and coordination of the activities of the relevant faculty unit
- Teaching, research, and publication activities
- Self-education and professional development
- Implementation of projects aimed at the development of the workplace
Qualification Requirements:
- Academic staff member with a scientific degree of at least Ph.D., preferably Associate Professor (Doc.) or Professor, with a university degree in the relevant field
- Creative thinking, ability to work systematically and in a team, responsibility
- Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills
- Knowledge of higher education, science, and research environment
- At least 5 years of academic teaching and research experience at a university
Workload:
Full-time (100% of standard working hours)

Information on the Selection Procedure:
The selection procedure will take place in two rounds. The first round will consist of an assessment of the submitted materials, which must be included in the application. The second round may involve a personal interview with selected candidates.
All applicants will be informed of the results within 30 days after the end of the selection process. Participants are not entitled to reimbursement of costs related to the selection procedure. The Dean reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure.
