The Rector of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of Lawyer.

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Handling the employer’s legal matters, particularly in the areas of commercial law, civil law, and labor law.
  • Independently managing legal agendas, records, archiving, and establishing work procedures.
  • Providing methodological guidance in agenda management, interpretation of legal regulations, and their practical application.
  • Cooperating with external law firms.
  • Representing the University in dealings with courts, public authorities, the Police of the Czech Republic, and other institutions based on specific authorization.
  • Performing other tasks assigned by a superior that relate to the position.

Qualification Requirements

  • University degree (Master’s level) in Law.
  • Previous experience in public administration is welcome.
  • English language skills at KET (A2) level or higher.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations relevant to the position, in particular:
    • Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended;
    • Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Administrative Procedure Code, as amended;
    • Act No. 134/2016 Coll., on Public Procurement, as amended.

Employment Fraction: Full-time (1.0 FTE)

Salary Classification:
Basic salary according to salary grades N10–N11 under the University’s Internal Salary Regulations, plus a personal allowance corresponding to the candidate’s level of expertise and independence.

Expected Start Date: By agreement
