The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position of Project Manager / Financial Manager.

Job Description

  • Organising and managing project implementation in cooperation with the principal investigator.
  • Leading and motivating the project team.
  • Supervising interconnections and links between related projects.
  • Monitoring project progress, fulfilment of indicators, financial plans, and other outputs.
  • Reporting on project progress and financial management.
  • Close cooperation with university rectorate and faculty staff.
  • Organising project activities, including their administration and support.
  • Ensuring project publicity in coordination with the PR department when necessary.
  • Cooperating with public administration bodies, companies, and institutions according to the nature of the project.
  • Maintaining close communication and coordination with the programme management centre.

Qualification Requirements

  • University degree at least at Bachelor’s level (Bc.); education in economics is an advantage.
  • Independence, reliability, communication skills, and creativity.
  • Knowledge of EU funding policy – preparation of grant applications, project management, preparation of payment requests, implementation and sustainability reports.
  • Experience with projects such as TAČR, OP TAK, OP JAK, or Ústí Region projects is an advantage.
  • Language skills: English at minimum level B1; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Accuracy, flexibility, and clean criminal record.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment is an advantage.

Employment Extent

Information on the Selection Procedure and Selection Criteria

The first round of the selection procedure will consist of an assessment of the submitted application materials. Selected candidates may subsequently be invited to a personal interview in the second round.
